A lover of electronica, Black music, and popular rhythms in all their variants, Topanga Kiddo started out as a selector in 2008, parallel to her work as a music journalist and, later on, as a member of Madrid collective Brrrrap, with which she’s still associated as resident DJ and promoter. Raised in the heyday of the Ruta del Bakalao, her fetishes range from ‘90s Spanish EBM to the new fluctuations of the British underground, with an immediate crush on all sounds electronic hailing from latitudes exotic and unknown—an ambivalence that works in her favor and has led her to DJ at clubs such as Razzmatazz, Dabadaba, and Sala Caracol..
