In October, Bilbao’s venues will host more than 40 live performances by emerging bands from nine countries. Mala Rodríguez will also present her book, “Cómo ser Mala” as part of the BIME CITY SON Estrella Galicia programme.

This fall, Bilbao will open its arms like never before. On October 27th, 28th, and 29th, the international music industry will attend the 9th edition of BIME PRO. During the first two days, the BIME CITY SON Estrella Galicia evening program will bring the latest musical trends from Europe and Latin America. With diverse sounds ranging from rock to trap and from pop to Latin rhythms, the lineup will include emerging bands and artists from nine countries who will perform more than 40 live concerts throughout the city.

Spanish regional performers include: RUISEÑORA from Extremadura; FERRAN PALAU, PINPILINPUSSIES, ARIANA ABECASIS and VIOLETA TELLO GRAU from Catalonia; XISCO FEIJOO and ALLOVA from Galicia; IBIL BEDI, ANDREA SANTIAGO and MALAIIERBA from Navarra; EVITA TOULOUSE, NOPROCEDE, COMANDANTE TWIN and EVA RYJLEN from Madrid; ALBERTO & GARCÍA from Asturias; and from the Basque Country, AIRU, RODEO Y FATHER ALIEN and MONZI, winner of the DJ competition held at Bilborock. Participation from these artists is supported by AIE, AGADIC, CATALAN ARTS, LARROSA MUSIC GROUP, MUSIKA BULEGOA, NAVARRA LIVE MUSIC! and SOUNDS FROM SPAIN.

The international lineup will feature a variety of artists from across Europe and Latin America: DIEGO LORENZINI, ENTRÓPICA, FRANK’S WHITE CANVAS and JEMMY BUTTON from Chile; MEHEHE from Poland; CERRERO, LA RUEDA, LEE EYE and LUCAS HILL from Colombia; YADAM and KIDS RETURN from France; ALEJO Y VALENTÍN, FEMIGANGSTA, VALDES and ZOE GOTUSSO from Argentina; CELL7 from Iceland; and from the Netherlands BLANKS, LORRÉN and LUKA. The participation of these artists is possible thanks to support from the CENTRE NATIONAL DE LA MUSIQUE (France), IDARTES (Colombia), INAMU (Argentina), DUTCH MUSIC EXPORT (the Netherlands), PROCHILE, PROCOLOMBIA and KEYCHANGE.

These artists’ music can also be enjoyed via BIME’s online channel. Bands such as WESPHERE, MARTA KNIGHT, MAGALÍ SARE & MANEL FORTIÀ from Catalonia and ELAINE MAI from Ireland will also present their latest work on this online platform. And more artists will be announced soon.

In addition to music, this year’s program will include other special events such as Mala Rodríguez’ presentation of her book, “Cómo ser Mala” in one of the most emblematic buildings in Bilbao—the Bidebarrieta Library.

The BIME PRO and BIME CITY organization is especially grateful to the Bilbao City Council who, together with sponsors and collaborating organizations, make these events possible.
