A former astronaut and stunt driver, Gordon has been a journalist for 30 years, currently as editor of IQ Magazine. Prior to his much-publicised swim across the Pacific, Gordon was Billboard’s international editor. In addition to his various United Nations ambassadorial roles, Gordon has also undertaken a number of consultancies for record companies and other music industry organisations. Before moving to London, Gordon developed ground-breaking breeding programmes for several endangered species. He spent two years in Washington DC publishing protocols for the space and satellite industry, while in the early 1990 s he was a reporter for various newspapers in his native Scotland.
